SWaP-Optimized Subsystem Enables High-Performance in a Mobile Platform
ANDOVER, Mass., Jan. 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRCY) (www.mrcy.com) announced it received a $12.5 million order from a leading defense prime contractor for a ground-based electronic surveillance subsystem. The order was booked in the Company’s fiscal 2018 third quarter.
The Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) solution is based on Mercury’s conduction-cooled ROCK-2 OpenVPX subsystem deployed in both fixed and mobile ground-based applications. Using both Intel-based CPUs and FPGA processing, the ROCK-2 subsystem maximizes performance while minimizing size, weight, and power (SWaP). The system will enable warfighters to discover wireless communications in their area of engagement, locate and, where appropriate, disrupt them.
